Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, has issued a stark warning: a buffer zone will encompass nearly all of Ukraine if military aid to the "Banderite regime" persists. Medvedev conveyed this message on his Telegram channel, sharing a video that depicted such a buffer zone extending across almost the entire Ukrainian territory, with the exception of a small western portion.
This statement follows Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement on Thursday, during a meeting with government officials, regarding the decision to establish a security buffer zone along the Russia-Ukraine border. A year prior, while visiting China, Putin had highlighted shelling attacks on Russian border areas—specifically in the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk Regions—from Ukrainian territory. He then underscored the necessity of what he termed a "sanitary zone" to safeguard Russian regions from what he described as Ukrainian aggression.
